The short version: this app has no account, no sign-in, and no server. Your measurements and calculations never leave your phone. The only data that goes anywhere is what Google's advertising and payment services collect, and a one-time purchase removes the ads entirely.
Halyard Apps collects nothing. We operate no servers and hold no database. We cannot see your calculations, your measurements, or anything about you, because none of it is ever sent to us.
Stored on your phone, and nowhere else:
Uninstalling the app deletes all of it. You can clear the tape yourself at any time from the tape screen.
The free version shows ads through Google AdMob. To serve them, Google may collect and process device information including your advertising ID, IP address and general location. We never receive any of it — it goes to Google, not to us.
If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, the app asks for your consent before any personalised ads load, using Google's official consent form. You can change your answer at any time from within the app.

Buying Pro removes ads completely. On a Pro copy the advertising SDK is never started at all — no consent prompt, no ad requests, nothing.
The Pro unlock is handled entirely by Google Play Billing. Google takes the payment and tells the app whether you own it. We never see or store your card details, your name or your billing address.
The app requests internet access, which the advertising and billing services need. It asks for nothing else: no location, no camera, no contacts, no files, no microphone. With Pro, and in airplane mode, every calculator and tool works exactly the same.
This is a professional tool for tradespeople. It is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect anything from them.
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. Material changes will be noted in the app's release notes.
